Jesus Heals the Blind Man

Gospel John 9:1-41

Today is a Sunday of Joy because Easter is coming soon but how can we rejoice when the whole world is kneeling and praying for the thousands that are already infected and the thousands already dead. There are lots of questions going around that are similar to the Gospel and one question is – Who sinned? This kind of belief that God is punishing us is firstly, not Catholic and secondly it was the belief of the people from the ancient times. If you have these kinds of thoughts, clean up your mind because this is not our God! This disease that we are facing now has nothing to do with God, it was the creation of man.

The concern of the leaders of the world now is fear, the virus is out of control and we have to listen to our government and take measures to protect ourselves. The next thing we must do is learn from this experience. Care for each other, pray for each other, show love and walk together to defeat this problem. Our world is a living structure like a human body that is being affected and we shouldn’t lose hope. This will pass on. God is walking with us, He is with us, He is taking care of us, He can guide us like He did the blind man, He is our Living Water, our remedy, our doctor. But we also need to take care of ourselves.

Let us continue praying as we ask our Blessed Mother to intercede for us.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
