St. Patrick's La Rochelle
Scalabrini Choir
St Patrick’s La Rochelle Scalabrini Choir is a group of choristers that lead the 10:00 a.m. mass in praising and worshiping the Lord through singing. The Choir seeks to celebrate liturgy in a manner that promotes participation by all with joy and reverence. As such, it is mindful of the saying, “One who sings prays twice” (St Augustine).
The choir is made up of males and females both young and old. This group shows a true reflection of the populace at St Patricks La Rochelle Parish. The choir is made up of parishioners from different countries such as Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
NB When invited the choir can also sing at weddings, baptisms and funerals.
We practice on the following times:
Every Saturday: 16:00-18:00
Every Tuesday: 17:00-19:00
Every Sunday: 08:30-09:30
